November 2021, Teacher Vacancy

Position: Primary teacher, Full-time, fixed-term (roll dependant)

If you would like the freedom to teach creatively and responsively, without predetermined unit topics and times, busywork, and bells, read on!

We are seeking the right person to teach:

  • Y1-3 literacy and numeracy in the context of both skills groups and integrated curriculum (during mornings)
  • Y1-8 integrated curriculum on topics of interest (during afternoons)

Experience sought: Playcentre or learning through play/provocations and experience of Te Whaariki curriculum a must. Junior literacy (incl. phonics) and numeracy, craft, tech, Te Reo, nature school, democratic education, creativity preferred. 

Qualities sought: Emotional intelligence, the ability to be self-reflective and collaborative; the ability to teach responsively and to learn from your students, self-managing, passionately interested in teaching practice as an inquiry into the nature of true learning

Come to see our learning community in action. Children are welcome. You will be given a tour, have opportunities to ask questions, and be able to pick up an Expression of Interest form to put your child onto the school waiting list.
